As many of you know, at the last APA seminar I made a presentation on some field data from a study that involved the monitoring of the EDA during the pretest interview. Results were mixed, with the most definitive finding being it helped the examiner properly choose effective DLCs. Examinees were not told that the EDA was on during the pretest, and so there was no apparent benefit in terms of eliciting more information or guiding the interview. Is there anyone else out there that has systematically looked the possibility of monitoring EDA during the pretest? If so, do you have any insights that might be valuable as I go about conducting a replication? What works, and what doesn't work. Thanks. Don IP: Logged | |
